miele di castagno
Terminata la fioritura dell'acacia, inizia
quella del castagno. Che albero particolare! Confortante e solido. Chi
tanti i pregi trasferibili. Il sapore assomiglia al suo colore, deciso,
lievemente amaro, dipende dall'origine e dalle nostra papille gustative;
l'odore pungente ci trasporta nelle colline selvagge dove nasce e prepara
la strada ai prati alpini. La cristallizzazione è spesso assente,
rimane liquido. Ha come proprietà: ispettorante, sudorifero,
disinfettante delle vie urinarie. Stimola la circolazione del sangue,
astringente in caso di dissenteria. Facilita lo scioglimento dei calcoli,
decongestiona le vene emorroidarie.
castanienhonig
erinnert an
seine Herkunft, die wilden Hügel der ital. Voralpen.
Venen.
Chestnut honey
After the flowering of the false acacias, the chestnut
trees start to blossom. What a special tree! Comforting and solid. We
can all remember the smell of roasting chestnuts, irresistibly drawing
us towards home in winter. Chestnuts are the seeds of the tree, which
it offers us when they are perfectly ripe. You only get honey from wild
chestnut trees. The bees gather the nectar from the male flowers, which
are very rich in pollen, because the (anemophilous) tree uses makes
use of the wind as the main vehicle for pollination. This makes chestnut
honey one of the richest in pollen. It is also rich in tannin, a characteristic
of the entire tree. Such an important, solid tree is bound to be able
to transfer many of its qualities. Its taste is like its colour, decided,
slightly bitter, depending on the origin and on our taste buds; its
pungent smell reminds us of the wild hills where it comes from, preparing
the way to the alpine pastures. There is often no crystallisation, it
remains liquid. It acts as an expectorant and sudatory agent and disinfects
the urinary passages. It stimulates the circulation of the blood, is
astringent in case of dysentery. It facilitates the dissolving of stones,
and decongests haemorrhoidal veins.
